David Tilley
Founder & Director
David founded Accord in 1996 and remains a director to this day. He is a Fellow Certified Practising Accountant holding a Public Practice Certificate with CPA Australia.
He is a Chartered Taxation Advisor with The Taxation Institute of Australia, and he holds a Regulation 146 ASIC Qualification to practise as a Financial Adviser (Authorised Representative No 255361).

David’s background includes nearly 10 years in the Australian Taxation Office, including stints as a Tax Assessor, Tax Auditor and Senior Investigation Officer. While taking up Professional Practice since leaving the ATO, David has also been a Finance Director of a ASX public listed company, set up subsidiaries in the USA, Malaysia, and Singapore.

He and his family have been involved in a fashion boutique, cafe/lunch bars, a motel, a tavern as well as a home automation technology company. In his role at Accord, David has aided and mentored clients in several different industries and stages of their development. He enjoys seeing the personal growth and successes of clients and their families he has professionally worked closely with over the years.

Outside the Office, David is Treasurer of WACA Premier Cricket Club, Claremont Nedlands, enjoys travelling and is a keen Fremantle Dockers supporter.
Josh Tilley
Managing Director
Josh is the Managing Director of Accord. He has extensive experience advising private family groups, high-net-worth individuals and small & medium-sized enterprises.
His journey began at Accord while pursuing his undergraduate degree, and four years later he returned after gaining invaluable experience at a city firm in Melbourne. Josh holds a Bachelor of Commerce majoring in Accounting and Finance from the University of Notre Dame, is a Certified Practising Accountant (CPA), a Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA) with the Tax Institute of Australia, holds a Public Practice Certificate with CPA Australia and is a Registered Tax Agent with the Tax Practitioners Board.
He specialises in providing effective tax and commercial advice in a personalised, simple, and easy-to-understand way. His personalised approach fosters clarity and empowers his clients to make informed decisions.
Josh’s true passion lies in helping business owners and individuals realise their ideal lifestyle. He achieves this by serving as the primary point of contact for his clients for all financial decision-making, offering tailored tax-effective strategies to not only amplify wealth creation but also safeguard wealth for generations to come.
Outside the office, you will likely find Josh on the golf course and watching the Dockers play during the football season.
